Sometimes, in order to swim free of the humdrum currents of everyday life, we have to turn against the tide and make a big splash. Exalano Day, Friday, March 4, is the right day to do just that.
Exalano Day was created as a unique holiday where we should all march (swim) forth from our daily routine and do something new, different, and fun. The annual call to celebrate Exalano Day has been issued in each of the last 29 years by the Exalano Day Committee, a bunch of fun-loving clowns on a mission. The word 'Exalano' comes from the Greek word meaning 'to march forth', and hence it is a natural idea to declare that the fourth day of March should be called Exalano Day. On this most unique holiday, the Exalano Day Committee declares that you should march (swim) forth and spend some time remembering how to have fun - by swimming against the tide of boredom and doing something special for yourself.
Exalano Day is a freeform, unconventional holiday dedicated to the concept of taking one day a year to intentionally enjoy oneself. With the help of some of our fishy friends, this year the EDC calls on all the world to march forth, have some fun and generate new waves. Most of all, just go ahead, dive right in and have some fun.
Happy Exalano Day 2005 ... from your friends at the EDC.
Whatever you do, just make sure
that you have some fun, because it's
Exalano Day 2005!
